Will is six weeks old, and a tall young man!

So, Monday Will turned 6 weeks old. He is now cooing and smiling!!

He also had his one month doctor appointment with Dr. Willie Ng.
Dr. Willie said Will is healthy. He's getting enough to eat and developing just fine. His stats were as follows:
Weight - 10lbs 2oz (50th percentile)
Head size - 15 3/8" (75th percentile)
Height - 23.5" (95th percentile!!!!)
Dr. Willie asked if either of us had tall family members, and we couldn't think of any. He thought this could indicate a tall ball player in our future...but it could also be too early to predict. The doc also said his weight is fine because it's easy to gain weight if needed vs. loose.

For a few nights in a row, Will slept from 12:30 - 6:30! The last few days he's been a little more unpredictable. I think he's having a little growth spurt. This evening Billy and I could not get him calmed down unless we fed him, so he ate every two hours between 4:00 and 8:00.

We are planning our trip to Memphis and Jackson to see my side of the family. We're very excited! I can't wait for Will to meet his great-grandmother Mimi, his aunt and uncle Matt and Jennifer and his cousin Gibson!! This weekend is Gibson's first birthday, so we're sending a shout out to her. Happy B-Day Gibson!!

More soon...

William Austin Hoskins V was born on December 17, 2007. He was a healthy 8lb 4oz, and a long 21.5 inches! Mom had it pretty easy in labor, delivering him in just 4 pushes. We are so thankful that he is healthy and happy!

As of today, he is three and a half weeks old. He has already celebrated two big holidays and visited with lots of friends and family.

His weight was up to 8lb 12oz at his last appointment, so he's a very agressive eater. He's sleeping in 4-5 hour chunks at night, much to our pleasure! Occasionally he doesn't want to go back to sleep, but overall we have been very lucky that he likes to sleep.

His favorite place to lounge during the day is his magic swing. All babies should have a swing! He also loves to be swaddled and held.

We'll post more pictures and slide shows later once I learn how to use this blog!
